Explainer Video: Set Proactive Alerts in Panopticon Streaming Analytics

Alerts highlight anomalies in your trading activity that require attention — and possibly require immediate action.

It’s easy to program a Proactive Alert in the Panopticon Streaming Analytics platform. First, select a variable, which can be an aggregated measure based on multiple data sources. Then decide if you want the alert to go out when that variable goes above or below a certain threshold for a set period of time. You can program your alerts to go out when your data first breaches a threshold or when the breach is over. For example, you can trigger an alert when your Hit Ratio for a particular client falls below 25 percent for longer than 10 seconds, or set up an alert that will notify you when your combined risk across multiple portfolios exceeds limits for longer than a minute.

Define alerts based on data from streaming data sources, including CEP engines and message queues like Solace, Kafka, ActiveMQ, StreamBase, and many others, and/or historical data stored in virtually any kind of database — including kdb+, OneTick, MemSQL, InfluxDB, Oracle, Hadoop, MongoDB, SAP HANA, DB2, and more.

The Panopticon Streaming Analytics Platform lets you connect to data sources, design applications and dashboards, and publish them to your traders and compliance people without writing a single line of code! Forget about long development and deployment cycles for your trading analytics systems.
