Panopticon 17.3 supports Proactive Alerting, MQTT Connectivity, Improved Kafka Support, and More.
The release incorporates numerous improvements to data connectivity, visualizations, and time series analytics capabilities. It also includes a more streamlined user interface and enhanced deployment capabilities for the Panopticon Streams stream processing component of the Platform.
Panopticon 17.3 supports:
- Proactive alerting capabilities. Use Panopticon’s improved alerting capabilities to highlight anomalies in your trading activity that require attention — and possibly require immediate action. Simply select a variable (which can be an aggregated measure based on multiple data sources) and decide if you want the alert to go out when that variable goes above or below a certain threshold for a set period of time (program your alerts to go out when your data first breaches a threshold or when the breach is over).
For example, you can trigger an alert when your Hit Ratio for a particular client falls below 25 percent for longer than 10 seconds or set up an alert that will notify you when your combined risk across multiple portfolios exceeds limits for longer than a minute. You can define alerts based on data from streaming data sources, including CEP engines and message queues like Solace, Kafka, ActiveMQ, and StreamBase, and/or historical data stored in virtually any kind of database, including kdb+, OneTick, MemSQL, InfluxDB, Oracle, Hadoop, MongoDB, DB2, and many others.
- MQTT connectivity. MQTT stands for MQ Telemetry Transport, a publish/subscribe, extremely simple and lightweight messaging protocol designed for constrained devices and low-bandwidth, high-latency, or unreliable networks. It’s designed minimize network bandwidth and device resource requirements while ensuring delivery reliability. It’s perfect for the “Machine-to-Machine” (M2M) or “Internet of Things” (IoT) world of connected devices, and for mobile applications where bandwidth and battery power are at a premium. With Panopticon 17.3, users can connect directly to MQTT real time data streams without using any middleware or writing any code.
- The new release also incorporates numerous improvements to Kafka connectivity, handling of Python-based data transforms, Solace message stream handling, data visualization capabilities, and overall performance improvements.
