Datawatch invented self-service data preparation. Thirty years ago our desktop, self-service data prep product Datawatch Monarch was introduced to solve the vexing data challenge of the time – unlocking mainframe print spool data so it could be used for other analytic tasks. And over the years, although the types of “dark data” formats have evolved, our core mission has never wavered – allow ordinary people to achieve extraordinary results with any data.

In 2013, Datawatch acquired Panopticon. Today, the Panopticon Streaming Analytics Platform is the most powerful solution available for processing and visualizing real-time and time series data. As the streaming analytics platform of choice in capital markets, global financial institutions rely on Panopticon for real-time updates of streaming financial data with nanosecond accuracy.

We were the first and only vendor to introduce a team-driven data marketplace with Datawatch Swarm in 2017. Datawatch Swarm combines web-based self-service data preparation with aspects of data socialization, collaboration, cataloging and data governance.

Datawatch added predictive analytics and self-service data science products with the 2018 acquisition of Angoss. Today, Datawatch Angoss enables citizen data scientists to build predictive models in an easy graphical user interface, requiring no coding or scripting. Recognized as a Forrester Wave leader, the Datawatch Angoss solution is known for the best decision tree solution in the market.
