We are excited to be positioned on Gartner’s 2015 Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics for the first time. Altair was the only new vendor added to the elite group of companies this year. We believe it’s a strong testament to our integration of Panopticon technology and our rapidly growing base of visualization customers.
In fact, customers were a big reason we made the cut. Gartner said Altair was added to the Magic Quadrant due to “strong scores for customer experience, and a differentiated product and vision for data discovery on real-time and multi-structured data sources.”
Gartner found that our customers used the Altair visual data discovery platform for more complex types of analysis than most other vendors in the Magic Quadrant. Gartner cited our strong interactive analytics capabilities as a key driver for customer satisfaction:
“Advanced geospatial and location intelligence is a factor for users performing advanced types of analysis, particularly for real-time geospatial analysis. Customers report among the most narrow use of platform functionality, with a focus on interactive analysis. Altair registered the highest percentage of customers using its platform for interactive analysis.”
Our reputation for strong customer care also contributed greatly to the positive customer experience. Gartner said: “Customers also have an above-average perception of their overall customer experience, particularly in the areas of support and product quality.”
