New Datawatch|BDS V7.1 Offers Expanded Security Features to Document Archive

Datawatch|BDS (Business Document Server) is the standard for high-volume enterprise document capture, imaging, archiving and retrieval, capable of managing billions of documents from the point of initiation through delivery. Datawatch recently announced Datawatch|BDS V7.1, the latest version of its enterprise document archive system, now allows organizations the ability to quickly and easily conform to Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS).

The PCI DSS is a comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data. In a nutshell, PCI DSS established standards for Encryption of Data at Rest (while stored in the document repository); Encryption of Data in Transit (to ensure documents containing sensitive information cannot be intercepted during transmission over networks); and Protection of Cardholder Account Number (Datawatch|BDS V7.1 offers a configurable mask to ensure no Primary Account Number (PAN) appears in any document).
