Michael A. Morrison, President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael Morrison is president and chief executive officer of Datawatch Corporation, and is responsible for driving the vision and strategy for Datawatch's unique report analytics solutions and its other high value products. Prior to Datawatch, Morrison was vice president, financial performance management at IBM, and held a similar position at Cognos prior to its acquisition by IBM in 2008. Before Cognos, he was chief operating officer at Applix Inc., a leader in business analytics software.
During his three-year tenure at Applix, Morrison was responsible for all sales operations, marketing, business development and customer support. During this time, the company emerged as the fastest growing vendor in its market segment, achieving compound annual growth rates in excess of 30 percent. Applix was acquired by Cognos in 2007. Morrison holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.S. in Mathematics from Tufts University.
Murray P. Fish, Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Finance
As CFO and vice president of finance, Murray's responsibilities include managing the Company's financial growth, driving corporate governance and scaling continued operations. Murray brings over 30 years of experience in finance, and possesses particular expertise in corporate strategy, financial controls, and SEC reporting requirements.
Most recently he served as CFO of Cymfony, Inc. a private, venture-backed business intelligence company recently acquired by TNS, a British company with revenues of $2 billion. Prior to Cymfony, Murray was principal consultant at M.P. Fish Associates, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, and provided financial consulting to large public and private organizations.
Other positions include the roles of CFO and director at Network-1 Security Systems, CFO and director at RealWorld Corporation, and vice president and controller at Goldman Financial Group. He began his career at Arthur Anderson LLP.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Murray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Babson College.
Harvey Gross, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Product Management and Development
As chief technology officer and vice president of product management and development, Harvey Gross is responsible for driving Datawatch product strategy, positioning and product development, and extending the company into new markets that provide opportunity for future growth. Additional responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the worldwide development staff. Harvey has more than 30 years of product development, product management, sales and commercial operations experience in the content management and business process market. He joined Datawatch in February of 2007.
Prior to joining Datawatch, he was the principal consultant at HG & Associates, a content management consultancy serving a variety of companies in business, technology and the federal government, and a principal consultant at eVisory, a leading industry consulting group.
Previous positions include CTO for Lason, Inc., an international business process outsourcing firm, where he established an electronic content management service and was instrumental in growing the business to $20 million. Other roles include senior vice president at Virtual Image Technologies, Inc., a regional document management service company, and senior vice president of product development at 360Services, Inc.
Daniel Incropera, Corporate Controller and Vice President
As corporate controller and vice president, Daniel Incropera is responsible for worldwide corporate financial reporting, compliance and controls. Dan has more than 15 years of finance and accounting experience in both public and private sector companies. He joined Datawatch in October 2006.
In September of 2007, Dan was promoted to vice president. Prior to Datawatch, Dan served as controller for Pennichuck Corporation. During this time, he was responsible for the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance; a successful $17 million common stock offering, and was a key participant in the refinancing of five short-term note agreements with beneficial terms to the Company.
Other roles include the position of assistant controller at Concord Communications, a $90 million software provider, assistant controller at Genesys Conferencing, where he was instrumental in a successful $34 million IPO, and audit manager at Grant Thornton, LLP. A certified public accountant (CPA), Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College and a Certificate in Accountancy from Bentley College.
